The easiest way to get to the top is to start the quest chain "A Brief History of Stones" - two will open spiritual paths, leading to the floating islands above the volcano.
Get to the teleport point at the ruins in Crown of Heavenly Fire, it is closest to the crater. Glide from the floating islands to the volcano or use the beacon of the soul cornsaurusto get to the desired point faster.
