Berserkers in God of War Ragnarok: how to find graves and defeat everyone

Berserkers in God of War: Ragnarok – optional bosses that you need to fight as part of the request Just right for the king. Total in the game 10 berserk graves, calling from the other world enemies for battle, themselves opponents 13. Sometimes you will have to fight with several warriors at a time, and after defeating all the berserkers, access to a duel with their king will open.

For killing Hrolf you will earn trophy Cold reception. In the guide, we will tell you in detail how to find the graves of the berserkers in God of War: Ragnarok, how to defeat the enemies and get the achievement.

How to open berserk graves

To open the graves of the berserkers, you must take the secondary task "Just right for the king". It is automatically added to the request list during the completion of the "Word of Destiny" chapter. As part of this quest, Kratos will receive Skofnung's inactive hilt [Inert Hilt of Skofnung], which is a key item - it will help you unlock the tombstones.

You can start fulfilling the request from any grave of the berserker.

How to defeat berserkers in God of War Ragnarok

In order to successfully defeat all the berserkers, it is worth following the basic tips that we will highlight below.

Match the level of the berserker

Berserkers differ from each other in strength, depending on their level. Some can be defeated before the end of the main story, while others can only be defeated by collecting best armor and improving Kratos' performance to the maximum.

In order to immediately understand whether it is possible to defeat one or another berserker, you need to activate his grave and, when the battles begin, look at the enemy’s health indicator. HP scale color means the following:

  • Green - the berserker is weaker than Kratos, the battle will be comparable to the battle with an elite enemy.
  • Yellow - An enemy of the same level as Kratos.
  • Orange color - The berserker is slightly stronger than Kratos (by 1 level).
  • Purple – the enemy is significantly stronger than Kratos (by 2 levels), the battle with him is comparable to souls-like bosses.
  • Red - the berserker is much stronger than Kratos (by 3 or more levels), the first blow is likely to be fatal.

If, upon entering the battle arena, you see a green or yellow scale, then boldly enter the battle and defeat the enemy. With an orange scale and above, we do not recommend fighting berserkers, it is better to go to collect equipment and upgrade.

Some bosses, even with the proper level of Kratos' indicators, will orangeespecially for the king.

Equipment selection

Before fighting a berserker, especially a high-level berserker, it is recommended to choose the appropriate equipment. Of course, we advise in advance upgrade Kratos to level 9. It is worth paying attention to the following items of equipment:

  • Buy from a blacksmith resurrection stone.
  • Great for an armor set Stenbjorn's armor: she will turn Kratos into a real tank by giving him up to 585 protection.
  • As an enchantment from an amulet, you can consider Emblem of Evasion, which increases the speed and distance of evasions. You should first use a shift (once a “cross”), and then a roll.
  • Great relic - Blade of Death. Having improved it to the highest level, it will be possible to throw out 3 birest chakras with a cooldown of 85 seconds.

Turn on savepoints

When going into battle, first go to the settings: Convenience - Combat. This function will set a save point at the moment when the boss has lost half of his health. If Kratos dies, he will respawn with full HP and a resurrection stone, while the enemy will have only half of his total health.

Battle tactics

During the battle, it is worth knowing about some tricks that will help you complete the battle faster:

  • Try to attack mainly with elemental skills (L1 + R1, L1 + R2).
  • When choosing your primary move, look for the skills with the lowest cooldowns for all three of Kratos' weapons. Upgrade them to level 3. The bonus will be the presence of damage or stun.
  • Using Spartan Fury in "Valor”, which restores health, carefully choose the moment for treatment so as not to become vulnerable. For example, when an enemy takes off or completes a combo.
  • While Kratos is healing, press the square to ask the companion to attack the enemy and delay his next blow.
  • Healing with crystals or Spartan Rage in Valor will slightly stun the Berserker and knocks him down. This nuance can be used during combinations: hit, activate rage, stunning the enemy, continued to hit.
  • The previous tip also works with runic attacks: they also knock down the swing. It is worth considering that yellow and red attacks cannot be "cancelled".

Where to Find Berserkers in God of War Ragnarok: All Graves

Beygad the Terrible

Location: Svartalfheim, Alberich Island

fight with Bygad the Terrible You will only be able to after completing the Word of Destiny chapter. Move to the Mystic Gate Watch tower, then head north to get to Alberich Island. Dock and go forward to find the grave.

Beygad wields lightning, has many ranged attacks, and has a way to get close to Kratos. It is worth highlighting the main skills of the boss:

  • Takes off and strikes lightning at certain areas in the arena: they are marked red circle.
  • The boss flies away, after which, after waiting 1-2 seconds, it lands on the place where Kratos stood. Marked with a green circle.
  • The berserker fires a projectile that travels across the land towards the god of war.
  • Beygad releases in different directions 4 fireballs Simultaneously.
  • Sometimes the boss throws lightning bolts one by one, they can be beaten off and cause damage to the enemy.
  • Summons lightning that strikes along a marked line.

Of course, Beygad also has ordinary melee attacks, but there will be no difficulties with them. If the boss hit Kratos with lightning, then press the "circle" as often as possible to remove the stun effect. Some of the ranged attacks are unblockable, and occasionally the berserker will teleport to retreat.

There are no health crystals in the arena.

Reward: Kratos XP x1500, Partner XP x375, Shattered Rune x25, Imbued Scraps x2, Bonded Skin x25, Might of Asgard enchantment.

Heartrefill the Soulless

Location: Svartalfheim, Nidavellir.

Finishing the chapterForge of your own destiny”, go down from the mountain to the lowland, reach the open area and find the grave. An alternative route can be taken from Nidavellir. At the pier, go through the building, turn left and, after climbing onto the ledge, open the gate. As a result, you will reach a place with a tombstone.

Heartrefill the Soulless focuses on melee attackswhich he doesn't have many. Basically the following:

  • Sweep combo: some just deal damage, others can break through Kratos' block. These attacks are the best. parry or dodgeand then strike back.
  • Sometimes the boss jumps back, then swings and strikes diagonally while falling.
  • The attack from above deserves special attention. Heartrefill takes off and almost immediately crashes down on his enemy, marking the landing site in green. As soon as you notice that the boss has flown away, immediately start doing coups to avoid damage.

These are all the main attacks of the boss. Berserker is extremely primitive and it is enough to block or parry in time to successfully defeat him.

Reward: Kratos XP x1500, Teammate XP x375, Shattered Rune x25, Bonded Skin x25, Asgardian Reliability amulet enchantment.

Bedwar the Furious and Starolf the Violent

Location: Svartalfheim, Jarnsmead Mines.

You can immediately find two berserkers in The mines of Yarnsmead, completing the "Word of Fate" chapter. To get to the desired point, first move to the Mystic Gate coresand then go right. On the left, go through the hole in the rock, climb up and follow to the right. When you are on the surface, you will find a tombstone.

By activating this grave, Kratos will have to fight two berserkers at once at the same time. Starolf armed with two swords, and her partner, Bedwar, two shields to watch out for. With their help, the berserker can break through Kratos's block with a flash of light, dealing significant damage. Another danger of Bedwar is an enhanced shield strike that deals AoE damage.

Starolf is less aggressive than her partner: the girl attacks with swords, constantly maneuvers and throws her blades, but does not pose any particular danger. Sometimes she goes into a rage: marked with a circle and a scream, just interrupt this attack.

Don't forget to use healing crystals.

Partners have pronounced features of a pair battle, which are worth paying attention to:

  • When Kratos hits one of the berserkers for too long, he steps back, asking the other to go on the offensive.
  • Both opponents have a sort of "ult" when they unleash their fury. Often this skill alternates: first Bedwar, then Starolf.
  • If you kill one of the berserkers, then the second will be much stronger.

A certain strategy follows from these nuances. First, deal maximum damage to Bedwar (leave about one bar so you don't accidentally finish him off), then completely defeat Starolf, then finish off the remaining berserker.

Reward: Kratos XP x1500, Teammate XP x375, Sturdy Scraps x5, Shattered Rune x75, Bonded Skin x80, Nine Worlds Backspear Upgrade.

Frankie the Furious

Location: Midgard, Lake of Nine

After ing the chapter "Word of Fate", head to Midgard. From the Temple of Tyr go north to the side Shores of Nine. There is a tombstone near the big tower, right on the ice.

Freckney is armed with a huge ax and prefers to fight close. To shorten the distance, she uses:

  • Rush to Kratos, which cannot be blocked: either dodge or counterattack.
  • Jump and Block Break Attack, then often attacks with an unblockable melee attack. First dodge the blow so as not to lose balance, then from the other, and only then counterattack.

If you do not move away from the boss, he will either perform normal blows with an ax, or a sweeping attack with a weapon and normal blows. Sometimes the berserker builds up power and with all his strength, swinging from above, plunges the weapon into the ice. If an unblockable attack occurs, use Spartan Fury to knock it down.

When Frakney's health drops below half, the berserker will become more aggressive: he will use dashes more often, jump on Kratos more and make combos 1-2 longer attacks. It's worth waiting until Frackney stops flying around the arena and finishes off. Don't overdo it with pushing: if the boss has a non-green health bar, then hit him after a stun, parry, or his finished combo.

Awards: Kratos XP x1500, Partner XP x375, Rugged Scraps, Shattered Rune x25, Bonded Leather x25, Berserker Legguards.

Hvitserk the Valiant

Location: Vanaheim, Hermit's Landing.

After completing the story mission "The Word of Destiny", move to the Mystic Gate in river delta, after which, sitting on the boat, swim to the right channel of the river. Land on the dock at Hermit's Wharf and get to the grave located on the beach.

Hvitserk can be considered a mage-summoner: the main damage comes from poison. The boss himself summons minions, stays behind and often attacks from afar. Don't waste time on minions as the berserker will respawn them.

Let's highlight some of the most dangerous attacks of Hvitserk:

  • Rebirth of minions - Boss minions “fly out” of the ground, after which they explode and splash out poison in the red area.
  • Releases 4 poison projectiles, they cannot be blocked.
  • Summons a flying mob that shoots poison. The danger of this skill is that Kratos can be occupied by the boss while the minion is shooting.
  • Hvitserk takes off and almost immediately lands in the green area where Kratos is standing at the time of the "jump".

The best strategy for fighting this berserker is defense and ranged attacks. Hvitserk's endless range of poison minions, range and debilitating attacks are designed to overwhelm Kratos, so it's best to defend yourself and, when you get the chance, attack close with whatever you can. Rune attacks, Spartan fury and everything that is available should go into battle. The rest of the time, hit from afar, using a spear and a partner.

Reward: Kratos XP x1500, Teammate XP x375, Shattered Rune x40, Imbued Scraps x3, Bonded Leather x25, Handle of the Nine Realms Blade Upgrade.

Haklangr the Bearded

Location: Vanaheim, Wells.

Finishing the story chapterCreatures of prophecy”, move to the Mystic Gates of the Wells, get on the boat and swim to the right. Moor at the first pier, climb higher, and then overcome the abyss behind. As a result, you will find yourself at the grave of Haklangr the Bearded.

The main feature of Hanklang is his shields, which appear on the hilbar as a rune pattern. The color of the shield indicates the element and the weapon it blocks:

  • Blue - blocks the ax.
  • Red - blocks blades.
  • Gray - Blocks physical damage.

To destroy the berserker's defense, attack him with any other type of weapon, except for the one against which the shield is placed. You can also use a spear. This boss is extremely aggressive, almost all of his attacks are either unblockable or break through the block, so you have to play from rolls and parries. Haklangr makes sweeping strikes, jumps from above and in mechanics resembles a combined Freckney and Heartrefill.

Awards: Kratos XP x1500, Teammate XP x375, Shattered Rune x75, Imbued Scraps x5, Bonded Skin x60, Chaos Flames.

Sisters Illsky and Svipdag Kholodnaya

Location: Alfheim, Plains.

After the chapter "Word of Destiny" in the area The plains go west to the place under the skeleton of a huge monster.

This grave will require Kratos to fight three opponents at once, but there will be only two health scales: the sisters “divide” HP among themselves. Berserkers of Illsky possess the elements of ice and fire, Svipdag is armed with two axes.

The sisters use fire and ice projectiles with auto-targeting, melee attacks with the effects of their element. Like other berserkers, these enemies use jumping attacks that cannot be blocked.

First of all, it is necessary to defeat the sisters, since it will be difficult to fight with two reinforced enemies. The remaining berserker (Svipdag) behaves similarly to other melee berserkers: strikes, swing attacks, jump attack.

Awards: Kratos XP x1500, Partner XP x375, Imbued Scraps x5, Bonded Leather x180, Frozen Flame, Berserker Breastplate, Asgardian Security Amulet Enchantment.

Hjalti the Unperturbed

Location: Alfheim, Forbidden Sands.

Having completed the "Word of Fate", from Plains go through the tunnel and turn left to the end until you find the berserker's grave.

Hjalti does not have a large attack pool, the only thing to really fear is a shield strike that deals significant damage. For this reason, constantly close the distance with the boss. Nearly all of her close range attacks are parried and blocked.

Hjalti can be stunned with a combination of Rune Skills, Companion Skills, and Spartan Wrath. When berserk raises arms in different directions and is preparing a strong attack, hurry up to attack it, or shoot from a bow with the help of a partner. It also has the usual skills in the form of jumps, jerks and strikes.

Awards: Kratos XP x1500, Teammate XP x375, Bonded Skin x40, Shattered Rune x40, Sturdy Scraps x3, Handle of the Nine Realms Ax Upgrade.

Skjohendi Smashing

Location: Niflheim, Foggy Fields

After completing the story chapter "Battle of the Worlds", move to foggy fields and go west. Go down, turn right and find a tombstone.

Skjothendi with its mechanics is extremely similar to Beigada. She also has normal attacks common to many other berserkers. She is one of the strongest enemies in this request. Attacks with Bifrost, teleports around the arena very quickly.

To fight her, equip "Bifrost Remedy" and "Heavenly Panacea" in an amulet and take the "Elemental Siphon 2" skill on a spear.

Almost all attacks can be blocked or simply dodged. Beware of Bifrost, if Skjothendi takes off, then immediately throw a weapon at her to interrupt the skill. Try to give the boss your entire arsenal of skills and attacks when he finishes teleporting.

King Hrolf Kraki

Location: Midgard, Tomb of the King.

You can only fight this boss after defeating the previous 12 berserkers. Move to King's grave and in the center of the arena you will find the last tombstone. To defeat King Hrolf Haki, you should carefully prepare:

  • Upgrade Kratos to 9 level.
  • Recommended set Stenbjorn's armor, if not, then berserk set.
  • Insert the emblem of Yggdrasil, the Nine Worlds, into the amulet.
  • Muspelheim Enchantment (3), Niflheim Enchantment (3).
  • Take a large essence of restoration.

Hrolf Kraki has the largest list of attacks. While close, the boss attacks with a hammer several times, then smashes the ground with it. Sometimes after hitting, he creates a burst of energy in front of him (1 or 2 times).

It is best not to parry such attacks, but to step back and deal damage with a spear. When the distance is large, the king will make dashes that are not blocked, or break through the block. The boss's other ranged attacks are double shots, throwing four unblockable projectiles.

The king jumps up and falls down, dealing AoE damage. While taking off, Hrolf attacks in different places of the arena with elemental projectiles: many small areas in case of fire element, 3 large zones in case of frost. Beware of red zones.

Being far away, the boss launches an elemental sphere at Kratos, which must be destroyed, otherwise it will pursue further. Another danger is Bifrest. The king takes off and charges, this attack cannot be repelled. If the boss starts to soar - immediately beat him.

Other familiar tricks are the shield and charging maces. In the case of a shield that appears at about half HP, it is necessary to attack the boss with a weapon of a different element. When Hrolf spreads his weapons in different directions, immediately run to him and shoot down the attack, as it is one of the most dangerous.

In the battle with this boss, you should not carry out full-fledged combinations, since the king is extremely aggressive and alternates between ranged and melee. Use a special move to slow down time and deal a lot of damage. Throw spears at the king at a distance and blow up later.

Don't forget about health crystals, which, together with the Great Essence of Recovery, will allow you to survive.

Reward: Just Fit for a King Request Completion, Skofnung Hilt, Virtue of Helheim enchantment, Kratos XP x15000, Companion XP x3750, Bonded Leather x300, Hacksilver x250000.
