DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 - this is as big a secret as the release date of the project itself was in 2020. Major addons players will definitely have to wait another 2-3 years, judging by the failed release of the "vanilla" project and the way CD Projekt Red developed their cult project - the third Witcher. However small free additions, players expected to see already in 2021, and for a reason.
Earlier, an announcement was published on the company's website, in which the developers promised to tell a “new story about Night City” at the beginning of 2021. The company did not name specific dates, however, in one of the interviews it was specified that we were talking about the spring period. Apparently now CD Projekt Red's plans have changed. They hardly have time to develop a free add-on when there are still so many unfixed bugs in the game.
Not so long ago, during a company conference, Adam Kichinskiy (co-executive director) said that DLC should not be expected anytime soon. He bluntly stated that the company does not even think about add-ons until it copes with the problems that have piled up after the release. Hence, we will be able to receive new reliable information only in February.
Adam had the same reaction to questions about multiplayer. At the moment, the company cannot guarantee that it will work in 2022. Everything will depend on how quickly the current version of the project will be put in order.
However, the company is doing its best catch up and still release free DLC in the spring. Fans are hoping for the success of their plan, but it's actually not such a good idea as it might seem.
Why you shouldn't rush CD Projekt Red with new additions

Different divisions are working on the elimination of bugs and on the creation of add-ons.
