However, due to the difference in vision of the world and the creature’s influence on the environment, a conflict arose between the inhabitants of the Anemo region and the dragon and a struggle began, during which the dark creature died.
It is interesting that Durin in mythology represents one of the ancestors of the dwarves, and the name of the dragon itself means “bringer of dreams.” He also appears in "Herver's Saga", where with the help of Dwalin he forges a mythical sword.
Will Durin be playable?
Even before the release of version 4.8, one of the reliable insiders with the nickname GIntel shared a rumor that Durin might become a playable character in future updates. Thanks to the summer event "Summer! Dragons? Fairy tale!" More information was revealed, but at the same time there was a little confusion.
In addition to the fact that the Traveler, along with other heroes, saved the Simulanka from the evil dragon Durin, who was actually misunderstood due to his appearance, Albedo, who visited the fairy world, reported that Durin on the Dragon Ridge could be resurrected after some time.
Therefore, it is now not entirely clear which of the characters the insider had in mind, and what ultimately awaits the players in the future plot.
Durin's story
Durin was artificially created by the alchemist Reindottir in Kaenri'ah, after which he was sent to see Teyvat. Due to the fact that the creations of "Gold" see the world differently, despite the creature's desire to befriend the inhabitants of Mondstadt and their protector Dwalin, he brought destruction to the Anemo region. Barbatos and his friend entered into battle with him and defeated Durin.
Subsequently, the shadow dragon's body fell onto Dragonspine, where it was left to lie bleeding with poisonous blood. It was absorbed into the ground, which led to the revival of the Permafrost Tree and the strengthening of local creatures, making the location dangerous for exploration.
Who created Durin
The creator of Durin is Reindottir - one of the participants Five Sinners Kaenri'ah. Created through the art of Khemia in the ancient kingdom, the dragon was considered the finest creation of the humus layer, far superior to the witch's other works.
How Albedo and Durin are related

Using magic, she puts the evil creature to sleep and shows him different worlds. Then she rewinds time and returns it to the moment when it had not yet destroyed her house. Waking up from her sleep, Lisia meets a certain black-haired man who is the reincarnation of a dragon.
Stories of witches are often intertwined with real events in Teyvat, so it is possible that the plot of the book hints at a possible future.

There was talk of Durin becoming playable even before Natlan actually came out. They are generally tweaking the dialogue in quests for new players, so they will probably come up with something here, but for now the heart thing is really weird.
But the current events with Mini-Durin are not an event, but an intermediate volume of the Archons' quest. It will remain forever. While reading, I also thought that it could be Capitano. Many facts point to this: firstly, Capitano is 300-500, which means that he is not an ordinary person or a person at all. Secondly, information about this dragon and a black-haired person (most likely a man) appeared in the Simulanka, which foretells the imminent Natlan, where Capitano will come out. Thirdly, I believe that the Wanderer, the former Harbinger of Fatui, was able to "pacify" Durin. It is possible (but not a fact) that this is somehow connected with the fact that Scaramuccia and Il Capitano were previously colleagues.
