Lethal Company is an online action-horror game from Zeekerss, where the player enters into a contract with an unknown Corporation and is engaged in cleaning up industrial moons. The main task: travel around the Galaxy, collect scrap metal and hand it over to the company in order to fulfill the quota. Here it is important to comply with the quota norm, otherwise you may face disciplinary liability before the Corporation.
Among other things, the age is difficult due to the large number of monsters on the moons and other nuances, so we recommend that you study our complete guide to Lethal Company. In this article we will tell you how to use the game mechanics, explore the world, earn money and buy the best equipment.
Using the terminal
The terminal is the main device on the ship, the main mechanics of the game, with which almost any gameplay interaction is associated. Thanks to the gadget, you can both fly to the moon and coordinate the entire squad. What the on-board computer is responsible for:
- Flights to other moons [moons] — direct the ship to the necessary objects to explore new places and collect garbage.
- Buying equipment [store] — you can go to the store and buy useful things, for example, to fight monsters.
- Sale of scrap metal - sell the collected scrap to earn money and fulfill the quota, otherwise you will receive fines.
- Bestiary — stores information about all mobs inhabiting the world.
- Scan — you can check the weather conditions and the state of the Moon you are on.
- Opening/closing sluice doors - will help keep the situation completely under control.
- Observation — through the [View monitor] screen, monitor the movement of your comrades, report monsters around and help you find exits in confusing corridors.
- Storage — access to all collected loot on board.
The computer plays a key role, all main actions are performed by entering codes on it, so we recommend studying a separate guide, where we discussed in detail all terminal commands in Lethal Company.
Moon selection
Before you get to the Moon, you need to fly into orbit: to do this, click on red lever and take off from the current planet, then use the terminal - enter the command "moons" and go to the desired satellite.
All locations differ in complexity and amount of scrap; some are better to visit at the start, as there are fewer dangers there. As the trash quota increases, the initial satellites may not be enough to cover the debt to the company, and more difficult places will have to be explored. Guide to the maps - the names of the main Moons and their features (the level of danger is indicated in brackets):
- The Company Building - a safe satellite where you need to sell collected scrap metal. On the , among all the information, it is also indicated percentage, for which you can sell loot, it is updated every day and the price changes.
- Experimentation (B) - Suitable for beginners. The complex is located nearby, there are not many monsters here. However, like garbage, so over time, visiting this Moon will become unprofitable.
- Assurance (D) - Suitable for beginners. The Desert Companion is a little harder to explore and has more loot, but overall it's not much different from the previous option.
- Vow (C) - forest Moon, on which after 3pm (15:00 pm) it appears in open areas
- Offense (B) - similar to Assuranse and Vow. There is much more garbage here, but it is harder to get it due to the huge distance between the complex and the station where the ship lands. We do not recommend visiting the location without preparation due to difficult mobs.
- March (B) - similar to Offense, but the map here is simpler: there are two fire exits that will save your team in a difficult situation, and the loot is better.
Paid moons:
- Rend(A) - not worth the money. A mansion is generated in the location, different from the usual complexes, where there is only one entrance. Such a structure will make it difficult to escape from dangerous enemies. In addition, there is a constant snowstorm, which makes it easy to stumble into trouble and difficult to navigate.
- Dine (S) - similar to Rend. The map here is larger and there is an additional fire exit, making it easier to navigate.
- Titan (S+) - the most complex but profitable satellite. There is a quick access to the complex in the form of a staircase, thanks to which it is easy to pick up all the garbage: just carry it to the exit and throw it down. Valuable loot is stored here, but there is also a high demand for it: there are many heavy monsters and confusing moves.
Read before landing weather and rate danger level at the terminal to decide whether it’s worth the risk or whether it’s better to come back later.
Danger levels
When landing, pay attention to the indicator "Hazard level" — danger level with rating C / D / B / A / S / S+, the latter is the most difficult. The higher it is, the more mobs will spawn on the map; if you have just started the game, then avoid high indicators like A / S / S+.
Weather
Weather plays an important role in travel and can make it much more difficult, affecting your loot collection and subsequently your earnings. What conditions are met:
- Rainy [Rainy] - causes rain, which causes quicksand to appear. They look like large black puddles that suck in failed players and are difficult to spot at night.
- Foggy [Foggy] — during fog on the planet, visibility decreases and can be either weak or strong. Move carefully around the location so as not to fall into a hole or quicksand.
- Flooded — in other words, a flood that covers some areas of the map with water. The level gradually increases and can rise above the character's height, making it easy to drown.
- Storm - one of the most dangerous phenomena that causes lightning. If you run with a metal object in your hands, you can attract a strong blow that hits everything within 3-4 meters.
- Eclipse [Eclipsed] - from the very morning, dangerous monsters may appear on the Moon, emerging only at night, such as the guardian of the forest, eyeless dogs or
Distribution of roles
Roles in the game are officially distributed only in the notes, where each team member is given a funny title:
- The Laziest Employee - the laziest employee. Given to the one who has completed the fewest steps.
- The Most Paranoid Employee - the most paranoid employee. Which player turns around and looks around the most, that is, made a lot of turns with the camera.
- Sustained The Most Injuries - the most traumatic. Depends on the amount of damage the has received.
- Most Profitable - the most profitable. Given to the one who brings more loot to the ship and, accordingly, more profit.
These "positions" are added as a joke, they don't actually affect experience or rewards.
Depending on the size of the squad, we recommend distributing responsibilities as follows:
- Coordinator - the most important role, which involves monitoring the entire team from the spaceship, managing the terminal, helping allies and coordinating their work.
- Stalkers - preferably from two stalkers. They climb into the very depths of the complex, look for objects and probe the surrounding area for monsters and traps.
- Conductor — loots and carries all the scrap metal to the ship, must be quiet and agile.
Only together and with the of the player from the ship can we collect more scrap, safely leave the complex and cope with difficult mobs. But keep in mind that the more players there are, the more enemies will spawn.
In a separate guide, they said How to enlarge the lobby in Lethal Company.
How to become a good coordinator
Coordinator - the most important role remains on the ship as and guide. Monitors cameras, doors and other devices, saves his comrades using a terminal, beep and teleport.
Guide for beginners on how to play as a coordinator:
- There are 2 buttons installed on the computer in the bow of the ship: the first - Switch (change squad ), the second - off (turn off the monitor).
- Switch between allies and view the situation around them, reporting monsters - red dots.
- All garbage is marked yellow triangles - lead the team straight to him.
- Open/close airlock doors by entering their numbers in the terminal, for example, j8, r5, etc. Turrets and mines can be disabled in the same way.
- Master the jetpack to quickly pick up small cargo or carry equipment to your allies, then return to your post.
The coordinator spends most of his time at the computer, keeping an eye on his friends. He can urgently disable a mine, take cargo onto a ship, or teleport an ally in trouble. There are many options for help.
How to use the scanner
The scanner is an important device built into the suit that allows you to scan [scan for threat] debris, objects and other points of interest using left mouse button:
- Scrap и Keys are displayed as a green circle above the item, where the price and name are immediately visible.
- Mob - red circle, after analysis the object is added to the Bestiary.
- Important points - blue circle. Useful when locating the ship and the main entrance, but can also indicate what is on the ship: terminal, charging station, storage, etc.
In the terminal you can enter the command Scan, thanks to which you will see on the display information about the amount of loot outside the ship, as well as information about its approximate cost.
There is also a Radar-booster — it is installed separately, outside or inside the complex. This is an additional camera that the coordinator switches to and views the area, and can also serve as a beep and give signals to distract opponents.
Equipment in Lethal Company
Basic consumable equipment that can be purchased in the game store:
- Walkie-talkie — for quick communication with all allies.
- Flashlight [Flashlight] - an indispensable thing for lighting complexes, it will last for 2,5 minutes.
- Shovel [Shovel] - a weapon that will be useful in the fight against monsters.
- Lockpicker — replacement of keys for doors in the complex. Not so useful, since there are usually enough keys, they can simply accumulate on the ship, and it takes too long to open the gate, 30 seconds at a time.
- Professional flashlight [Pro-flashlight] — it weighs more than usual, but it shines further and the battery is better, lasts almost 5 minutes.
- Stun grenade - Slows down opponents. Effective against those whom a regular shovel cannot reach.
- Boombox — the music center is suitable for distracting enemies, and just having fun.
- TZP-Inhalant - when using an inhaler, you can increase your stamina and speed up for a short time.
- Stun gun [Zap gun] - only slows down opponents, will not cause much damage, there is a chance to shock a friend.
- Jetpack [Jetpack] - a jetpack that is difficult to master, but will be useful for the coordinator for quick flights to give things or pick up loot.
- Ladder [Extension] - if you put it on an ally, then he may have an expensive clown horn in his inventory. By itself, it’s short and adds up after a while; it’s not that useful. If installed incorrectly it can kill.
- Radar-booster — an upgraded radar that works as an additional marker on the map. You can switch to it and give signals to distract the monsters.
Ship upgrades
A short guide to ship improvements:
- Beep - easily distracts eyeless dogs; to do this, just launch a device that will make a loud sound in the bow of the ship. Companions can circle around the monster and board safely on the other side.
- Teleport - can move any from the complex back to the ship, but in this case he will lose all inventory.
- Reverse teleport — sends it to a completely random place in the complex, also dumping all items from the inventory on board. Can be used once every 180 seconds.
In addition, there are accessories at the very end of the list, such as a TV and a toilet, which won't do any good, but will entertain the team.
How to buy things
Through terminal you can open a store as a team "store" and select the desired item from the drop-down list. To purchase, enter the name of the equipment and then the code "buy" or «Info»to read more information.
After ordering, a rocket should arrive to the Moon within an hour - a kind of delivery. If you are in orbit at this moment, the cargo will arrive on the satellite where you land.
The best items to start the game
For beginners, it is best to purchase the following items, which will make the age somewhat easier:
- Flashlight - an indispensable thing in the dark corridors of complexes, which will help you navigate the area and avoid a lot of troubles, for example, falling on your head fleas.
- Walkie talkie — if you play in co-op, be sure to purchase it to communicate with your comrades.
- Shovel - a good weapon that will protect you from many initial monsters.
First given 60 credits, which is enough for 4 regular flashlights that can be shared with allies. The store sometimes has sales and many things can be purchased at good discounts, so check this section of the terminal periodically.
World exploration
The main task in Lethal Company is to collect scrap from different Moons, which can be difficult due to traps, time of day and monsters. Next, we will present a guide in Russian, thanks to which you can more easily travel through satellites and complexes.
Movement
You can move almost anywhere, with the exception of particularly dangerous areas: flood и quicksand. If you fall under water, the speed will drop sharply, and there is not much oxygen supply. The sands pull the player underground, also sending them to certain death.
It may also interfere with movement steam, coming out of pipes inside the complex. In this case, find the red valve by touch and turn off the steam supply.
Times of Day
After 3 pm [3 pm] evening comes, and then night - a terrible time when eyeless dogs, guardians of the forest and earthly leviathans appear in the surrounding area. It is useless to fight them: all that remains is to distract them and run away to the ship.
At the start, we do not recommend staying on the satellites until late; dogs can jump onto the ship, and worms can kill the entire team in a second. The time of day is visible only from the outside - the does not appear inside the complexes or spaceship.
Opening doors
There are several types of doors that are found in complexes:
- Hydraulic on a spaceship — locked manually from the inside by pressing the to the left of the exit. Can be closed for a total of 30 seconds, and restored to 100% in 7 seconds.
- Normal - open by holding the “E” button and do not pose a special obstacle; you can overcome it even with a load in both hands.
- Locked - master keys bought in a store or keys scattered throughout the complex will help here.
- Sluice - are unlocked only if the coordinator enters its name into the terminal, for example, h7 or a6.
Inside the building there is electrical s, when interacting with which you can turn on/off the light in certain sections, thereby unlocking the doors.
How to make money
Visit different moons and collect all kinds of loot, which you can later sell to the Corporation. This is how the quota is met and money is earned for various equipment and improving the ship, otherwise fines from the company may follow.
Selling Items
The sales planet is called “The Company Building”, it is marked nearby in the terminal percentage, which affects prices - the higher it is, the more credits you will earn.
Having arrived on the satellite, you can place all the cargo on the bench and ring the bell. A monster will appear that will take the goods and pay the money, be careful, it can also capture the players.
In a separate manual, it is detailed how to sell things in Lethal Company.
How to Defeat Enemies in Lethal Company
In the terminal you can view the bestiary, which contains all the scanned mobs. Some of them are very harmless - they scatter at the sight of a player or cause very little damage. Some appear only at night or inside complexes; for others, a couple of blows with a shovel or a road sign are enough.
There are also real monsters, for example, Bracken, which kills immediately upon physical . It is better to run away from such people without looking back - there is no other way to deal with them, no shovel or stun gun will help. In such cases, rely on your coordinator and team; even breaking away from the enemy alone is very difficult.
In a separate bestiary in Russian they described in detail about all the monsters and how to deal with them.
How to revive a friend
During your travels, you can lose an ally or die yourself, even more than once. For each death, a fine is imposed from the company; when flying to another moon, you can immediately revive a friend.
The amount of financial liability is reduced if bring his corpse to the ship. It’s better to stock up on shovels and signs, and carefully monitor the situation on the monitor to save the team from death. This is much more profitable than resurrecting a friend.
Levels and experience
After the quota expires, you receive a general assessment of your work, based on the results of which your character levels increase and comic titles are assigned. In fact, experience does not affect anything: it does not give any bonuses or rewards.
Helpful Tips for Lethal Company
Let's supplement the game guide with additional tips that will help you get used to this world faster, complete maps better and earn more credits.
Team up with friends
Even the developers recommend playing in teams of 2-4 people to make exploring satellites easier. It’s hard for one to survive in harsh conditions and fulfill the quota, so call your friends or other players on the servers.
Manage your inventory
Each player has access to 4 cells where they can store basic tools or small loot, such as flashlights, walkie-talkies, toothpastes. Some large objects can be carried with only two hands without the main luggage becoming clogged.
If you are carrying a large piece of trash and come across a small item, first place the burden on the floor to free your hands, and then replenish your inventory with the find and move the heavy loot further.
Keep an eye on the loot
It’s easy to die in complexes and lose all the collected scrap, so it’s better to put it away at the exit from the building. This way, hoarding beetles won’t get to it; if you die, other players can drag the loot to the ship, and it won’t disappear anywhere.
Monitor your endurance and weight
The orange bar on the left indicates the worker's endurance level, and the value next to it indicates the weight in pounds. Monitor the load so that in case of danger you can easily run away or swim away. If your stamina is at zero, use an inhaler. Drop excess junk when fast mobs are on your tail to move faster.
Leave useful scrap
Selling is the main goal of the game, but sometimes you can find useful trash, e.g. road sign. It can be used as a weapon instead of a shovel, causing more damage. Still meeting laser pointers, which are also useful for signaling to allies so as not to attract the attention of mobs around.
Don't make unnecessary noise
A boombox is fun if you use it right. Excessive music, clicks from the walkie-talkie, negotiations and other small noisy objects, such as a bell or toy robots, can attract unwanted attention from enemies.
We hope our guide for Letal Company helped you learn the basic mechanics and features of the age. If you have any questions, ask them at comments, the author or other players will try to help. See more game guides on the website in the section Lethal Company.
