Guide for Sword Duel in Genshin Impact
To start a duel with swords, accept the quest Go, Golden Tornado! in the event menu and go to the northwestern island from Rito using the wavewalker at the statue of the Archons. Find martial arts master Yasuhiko Taro, talk to him and challenge the strongest warriors.
Battles take place on three difficulty levels:
- dangerous;
- extreme;
- deadly dangerous.
Each opponent has special skills, these include normal attacks and powerful master moves.
How to win sword duels
After the start of the fight elemental skills and Elemental Explosion will be unavailable. In their place, it will be possible to block the opponent's blow. When you press the block, the character will raise the sword in front of him and stand in a defensive stance. This will reduce the damage taken, and in some cases, reflect a powerful blow.
During the test, the character can receive reinforcement in the form of levels of Inspiration. The maximum you can get is 3 levels. Consider how to get them and what they give.
- If you block a warrior's normal attack in time, the block cooldown will be restored, the damage will be canceled, and the character will receive one level Inspiration.
- If you execute a perfect block during a master move, three levels are given and the character counterattacks. Masterful reception is distinguished by a bright glow at the moment when the enemy is preparing to strike it. It lasts a second, so it is important to react quickly.
- After gaining Inspire, the next attack will consume all the levels gained and deal a powerful blow. The more levels, the more damage the character will deal.
Walkthrough of Sword Duel in Genshin Impact
Go to the event menu and select Sword Duel. Then click Go to the task and go to the martial artist (the location is indicated in the guide).
Fight with Okubo Sanzaemon
Talk to Okubo, who is sitting near the billboard, and start the fight. He will use a swift and furious lunge as a master move.
When choosing a difficulty, we recommend ignoring the dangerous one. Rewards are given only for winning within the first 75 seconds at the extreme level and for winning without time limits in a deadly battle.
On the extreme level a normal attack alternates with a master move where the opponent makes a dash forward.
On the deadly an attack will be added in which the warrior approaches the character, and then jumps back, leaving behind exploding firecrackers. After participation, do not forget to pick up rewards in the event menu.
Fight with Yasuhiko Taro
On the second day, upon arrival at the arena, you can see the same Okubo warrior. To start the second stage, talk to martial artist Yasuhiko Taro, who is standing by the rock opposite the tablet. It turns out that when he said that there were 4 participants, he added himself to this number. Start the duel.
When using a master technique, the warrior takes on attacks and enters an enhanced defense state (a white aura appears).
When the character continues to attack the enemy under protection, the warrior goes into a state of rage, raises his sword in front of him and responds with a powerful blow from above. If you block it in time and launch a counterattack, the enemy’s defense will drop and he will receive high damage.
As in the previous challenge, in order to collect all the rewards, you only need to go through 2 difficulty levels - extreme and deadly. At both levels, attack with normal attacks so that he uses a master move more often and can strike back with a powerful blow.
Fight with Mishima Michitoshi
Take the task in the event menu and approach Mishima Michitoshi, who is standing on the shore. Talk to the warrior and start the fight. As in the previous challenges, in order to collect the Source Stones, you will need to go through extreme and deadly levels.
Unlike past opponents, Mishima uses Electro attacks that hit the hero from a distance.
To win on Extreme difficulty, block the master move where the warrior gets into a stance, pulling the sword up. He then combos out two attacks, both of which are masterful techniques. On a successful parry, it will stop. If the enemy is in protective stand, hit him on the block twice to fill his rage gauge and make him use a master move.
Deadly Difficulty differs in that after a masterful move, Mishima jumps back and performs it again.
The enemy can then use a combo punch from five attacks, where each subsequent attack also turns blue, allowing you to counterattack on the first failed attempt. After a successful defense the series may never endkeep a close eye on the enemy. In close combat, the enemy can stand up for defense, but will use a master move more often, which will allow him to win faster.
Fight with Taromaru
At the final stage, the traveler will have to fight Taromaru. Talk to him to start the duel.
On the extreme level the enemy will summon a clone that explodes after a couple of seconds. The field of defeat, from which you must run out in order not to take damage, is marked with a red circle on the ground. Like the previous opponent, Taromaru uses electro attacks. Can jump up and perform a falling attack that deals splash damage.
In addition, he strikes with a sword, releasing three lightning bolts. Blocking lightning will send them towards the enemy and deal damage to him.
A perfect block on any attack gives the enemy levels of Rage. When Fury reaches its maximum level, Taromaru will cast mastery – will make a powerful lunge forward and deal damage for mercy. Block this attack too, so that the opponent falls to the ground and goes into a weakened state.
When ing, we recommend trying to block as many attacks as possible so that the enemy accumulates Fury faster and has the opportunity to deal more damage more often.
On the deadly level, Taromaru will become stronger and faster, but the age is easier, because in order to pick up rewards, you do not need to strive to meet 75 seconds.
