Thunder Stone in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How to Cure Peter and Who to Give the Thunder Stone to

How to get the precious Thunder Stone and who to give the artifact to at the end of the quest.

Thunder Stone in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 — a side quest of the Kutná Hora Region, tied to the search for a mystical artifact. The mistress of Kon from Grunt is very worried about her children and believes that only the "magic" thunder stone can save them from death.

Indro will have to find the item by going through all the NPCs that can be connected to it in some way. In the guide, we will analyze how to get the artifact, and also consider who to give the Thunder Stone to in KCD 2 and what consequences this will have.

How to start the Thunder Stone quest in KCD 2

To open the quest "Thunder Stone" you must first complete the story mission "Speak of the devil". Then head to Grunt, a settlement north of Kutna Hora. There you can first talk to Hanna at the stud farm - she will mention that a woman was looking for Henry. Then head to the herb garden south of the waypoint and find the herbalist Kona.

After completing the main storyline, this quest cannot be completed.

When talking to Kona, say: "I heard you're in trouble."to learn more about the assignment. You can then ask the woman more about the stone and Kona's motives. You should also choose the line "There is another way". It will become clear that it is impossible to steal the stone, it is important to obtain it honestly, without fail ask the girl to describe the appearance of the stone.

Walkthrough of the Thunder Stone quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

As part of the task, you will need to find out where the thunder stone is currently located in order to obtain it and decide the future fate of the artifact.

Defeat Tomlin of Gorjan

Kona will tell you that the Thunder Stone is in the possession of Tomlin of Gorzhany, a man who regularly puts the artifact on the line to fight simpletons. Go to the neighboring village and find Brutan, then start a dialogue.

There are only two ways to get the stone from Tomlin, other than stealing it, the rest of the dialogue will not bring any benefit:

  • "I challenge you to a duel for the thunder stone." — will start checks.
  • "The horse needs this stone" - Brutan already knows about the woman, but he won’t want to give up the stone.
  • "I'll pay for it" — the man is not interested in money.
  • "Let me look at the stone" - you will have to a persuasion check to be able to continue the dialogue.

The optimal response is the last one, since it saves a lot of time and does not force you to fight for the artifact. If you ed the check and were able to look at the stone, three answers will appear:

  • "Quite big" - Indro will simply study the subject.
  • "Kona painted the stone differently for me" - If you learned about the stone's appearance from Kona, Tomlin will tell you that he lost the stone, but was afraid to it it.
  • "Is it really him?" - a test of learning. If successful, Tomlin will also it to lying and reveal the location of the artifact.

If you couldn't or didn't want to resolve the conversation with words, you can take the path of strength and fight for the stone. In this case, you will have to one of three tests:

  • "You will not escape this shame" - coercion.
  • "I order you to fight" - superiority.
  • "You can't scare me" - unarmed combat.

With the quest "Dirty Fight" completed, you will be able to use your reputation as leverage to force Brutan to fight.

If you at least one test, you can bet 500 groschen and fight for the thunder stone. In any case, you will learn all the same information: the artifact is lost, you will have to go to another settlement to get it.

Find out what Peter and Yenik know about the thunder stone

Move to Ratborzh, located west of Goržany, in the center of the village you will find Petr sitting on a bench. Talk to him to learn more about the artifact. The answers in the dialogue are not of key importance, Peter will tell about what happened one way or another.: The comrades stole the stone and went on a raid on the local soldiers of King Sigismund, but the plan failed.

As a result, Peter is wounded and Yenik is captured. The former will also ask to free his comrade from the clutches of the enemy, after which he will give a hint where to look for the enemy camp.

Find a military camp

From the place where you spoke with Peter, move northeast. Head upstream along the river. In the north of the search area, you can see an image of ruins, this is where Sigismund's soldiers set up camp. It is best to move to the desired point to the west, moving along the rocks.

There are about 8 soldiers in the camp, it is extremely dangerous to fight them in a fair fight. Talking to them is pointless. The best option is to rewind time to night and carefully cut them out one by one. Remove all clothes from Henry, leave the blade and sword in case you have to fight. Go through the gate in the southern part of the camp, throw a stone and kill the first enemy. Near the entrance is the hut of the Ram's Forehead, by for now.

Move to the other end of the camp, there is another enemy on duty. Throw a stone and stab the soldier while he is looking away.

Now look into each of the three tents, the remaining soldiers are sleeping there. Kill each of them in their sleep. By this time, the last guard will return to the pot, distract him by throwing a stone and kill him. It is important not to throw a stone near the tents if someone sleeping is still alive.

At Ondřej Ram's Forehead you can steal keys from doors and chests, having previously neutralized it. Now you will be able to get hold of the soldiers' riches: there is a chest in each tent, inside you will be able to find very good equipment, skins and other valuables. A number of things sur in stats Bruncvik's armor.

Free Yenik

Go past the tents to the north to reach the barn where Yenik is being held. Kill the sleeping mercenary and Free the Ratborzh resident. As soon as you untie his hands, he will run. All that remains is to catch up and talk to Yenik to find out about the Thunder Stone.

In conversation, Yenik will tell you about the fate of the artifact: mercenaries took the stone and sold it in the city. You can ask the man about the raid and what happened, but this does not matter for the quest.

Enek will also mention a hiding place where stolen goods are usually hidden before being sold. A mark will appear on the map "Two Dead Trees" southeast of Ratborzh. It's worth heading there before your next destination. Once you arrive, you'll find a cache in the rock - a vessel with 348 groschen. As expected, there's no stone here.

Talk to Mlada about the thunder stone

Go to Sukhdol. In the south of the settlement, find the hut where Mlada lives to ask the girl about the stone. She is usually in the house: cooking or taking care of her husband.

Mlada will tell you that she bought the stone for a lot of money to get her beloved back on his feet. She doesn't know the original owner of the artifact, which is why she's not going to give the item back. In the conversation, you'll have to choose a line one way or another "I will help him in exchange for the stone".

Cure Peter

To get the stone you will have to complete a side quest "Healing in the Stoves". First, it's worth examining Peter and figuring out what happened to him:

  • "Examine the patient" - a test of dexterity.
  • "To feel the patient" - test of strength.
  • "You don't sleep at night?" - survival test.

It is important to the maximum number of checks to sum it up. If you fail the vast majority, you will not be able to help Peter and the task will be failed.

Having failed the quest "Healing in the Stoves", all that remains is to carefully rob Mlada and take the thunder stone from her.

After ing the required number of checks, a replica will appear "You are too anxious.", which sums up the examination. For treatment it is necessary to prepare camomile tea: The materials can be purchased from the local grocer, and the alchemy stand is located in Suhdol Castle. Bring the potion to the patient, then wait and see if the cure helps.

As an alternative you can just chat Peter up, choosing the following order of answers:

  • "Advise to eat differently" - uses the knowledge received from Mlada.
  • "Advice on how to cope with fear" —> "Don't be afraid to run away" - test of impressiveness.
  • "Prayer" - verification of belief.
  • "Finish treatment."

If successful, Peter himself will believe that he is better off and will just have to wait.

Get the thunder stone

Having cured Peter of his illness with the help of a decoction or persuasion, you need to return the next day and talk to Mlada about her husband. Having chosen any of the lines, convince the girl to give the Thunder Stone to Indro. Now it remains to decide what to do with the artifact.

Who to give the thunder stone to

All options are mutually exclusive, you will have to choose one.

Give the thunder stone to Kone

If you decide to give the stone to Kone, as promised at the very beginning of the quest, choose the following dialogue options:

  • "I have the thunder stone."
  • "Here, take it."

The woman will be delighted and will thank Indro by giving him the recipe for "Lethe's Water" and teaching him alchemy, which will increase his skill level. Kona will also offer to pay 100 groschen, but you can refuse the payment.

Return the thunder stone to Tomlin

Alternatively, you can give the thunder stone to Tomlin. Return to the man and choose the following lines:

  • "I have the thunder stone."
  • “Take it back.”

Brutan will offer two options for payment for the work:

  • "I'll take the money" - you get 150 groszy.
  • "Show me some fighting tricks" - earn experience in unarmed combat.

What happens if you keep the thunder stone for yourself?

You can choose not to give the thunderstone to anyone, telling both NPCs that you will keep it for yourself. In this case, you will simply not receive any reward, and the quest will end.

Awards

The reward for the task depends on who you decided to give the artifact to. If you gave it to Kone, you will receive:

  • 100 groszy if you decide to take the money.
  • Discount from the horse dealer in Grunt.
  • Some experience in alchemy.
  • Recipe for "Water of Lethe".

Tomlin will thank you in one of two ways:

  • 150 groschen.
  • Experience in unarmed combat.

We hope that our article helped you figure out how to complete the Thunder Stone quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and understand who to give the precious artifact to. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them in comments.

You can give the stone to everyone in turn and keep it for yourself. Give it to Kone, get a reward. The quest will end. Steal the stone at night while she is sleeping. Return to Tomlin (even though there is no mark, it is not that hard to find him again), give the stone, get a reward, steal it again. This is the most profitable option, since the stone gives buffs. On foreign forums they write that the stone gives the following boost: 10% bonus to stamina recovery, 5% bonus to stamina recovery when attacking and blocking, and 10% reduction in stamina consumption.
