How to holster a weapon in Cyberpunk 2077?

In this article, you'll learn two different methods you can use to holster your weapons and not draw unwanted attention while exploring the most dangerous areas of Night City.

There are many areas in the game where walking around with a drawn weapon will immediately cause enemies to attack you. Although these areas are hostile, you have a few seconds to react or get out of sight before you are knocked out of the chop. However, if you are armed and your weapon is found (seen), then these few seconds will disappear and you will go from a leisurely walk to a shallow grave. And so, let's figure out how to hide the weapon in a holster.

There are two main ways to remove weapons. The fastest and easiest way is to simply double-click a certain button:

On PC, double click Alt
On PlayStation, double-tap triangle,
on Xbox, double-tap Y.

This will immediately holster any weapon you may be carrying.

Another method is slower but more reliable if you suddenly panic when you click on the triangle and switch weapons or something like that instead. Instead of double-clicking Alt, Triangle, or Y, just hold down the button. This brings up the weapon wheel in Cyberpunk 2077. You can use it to switch to melee, fists, swords, or any other weapon you have.

The game pauses while you do this, so it's a good way to switch to a specific weapon in combat if you're in a tight spot.
