Where to find silk in Genshin Impact
Silk ribbons fall out of hermits all kinds. The rarity of the drop depends on the level of the enemy (the level of the mob is indicated in brackets):
- faded red silk (from lvl 1).
- Bordered red silk (from lvl 40).
- Gold-leafed red silk (from lvl 60).

- 3 goldweave is worth 2 Wandering starlight. Purchase limit: 24 sets of 3 pcs.
- 1 bordered can be taken for 5 wandering stardust. Limit: 35 pcs.
- 3 faded buy for 5 wandering stardust. Limit: 15 sets of 3 pcs.

How to craft silk
Use an alchemy workbench to create more valuable red silk from parts of lesser rarity:
- 1 bordered of 3 faded + 25 pestilence.
- 1 golden-woven of 3 bordered + 50 pestilence.

Red silk is useful when upgrading both characters and weapons.
Character Ascension
Use silk ribbons to overcome the leveling restrictions for the following heroes:
- Dory (4⭐).
- Candace (4⭐).
- Faruzan (4⭐).
- Al-Haytham (5⭐).
Each character needs a total of 18 Faded, 30 Banded, 36 Goldweave Armbands.
Rise of arms
Silk will require equipment from Sumeru.
Swords:
- wooden blade (4⭐).
- Xiphos’ Moonlight (4⭐).
- Key of Khaj-Nisut (5⭐).
Two-handed swords:
- Forest Regalia (4⭐).
