Courogonism in Baldur's Gate 3 - a mini-game in which you need to drive a chicken to the torches located on the other side of the field. For victory you can get not only gold, but also a title with a reference to the role-playing game Fable.
In the guide we will tell you where you can play Kurogonism, how to the test and win a prize. What life hacks can you use during the game?
Where can you play Kurogonstvo?
To play the game and complete a small side quest, get to the western part of the Goblin Camp and find the goblin Krolla (X: -108; Y: 433). You can get to the camp itself in several ways:
- Sneak through the ruined walls and exit to the fortress courtyard. The local inhabitants are not hostile, and the outpost goblins will not pay attention if you by them.
- Make your way to the ruined sanctuary from the northeast, from the direction of the mill in the extinct village. There are other ways, but the main thing is not to wake up the sleeping bugbear guards.
- Convince the guards at the outpost to let you through. It is necessary to 1-2 checks (KS 2-15).
- You can go through the outpost with a fight, even in this case none of the inhabitants of the camp will be opposed to the hero.
During the dialogue with Krolla, it turns out that the goblin calls the baby bear's cub a chicken, due to the fact that they have feathers and a beak. Then, she will offer to play a mini-game.

Rules of the game
The game lasts one minute: in ten rounds (moves) you need to drive the chicken to the torches on the western side of the field. As a rule, the chicken runs away when a character approaches, but the direction of its movement is always random. To achieve the goal, you can scatter boxes and barrels on the field - they will limit the chicken’s movement options.
At Krolla you can place a bet of 30 or 300 gold, or not bet at all. At the same time, there is a possibility of losing the bet.
After talking with Krolla, stand in the circle at the entrance to the playing field. The squad will automatically split up, since only one character can participate in the test.
How to win Kurogony in Baldur's Gate 3
Winning a victory without resorting to tricks is not easy. During the game, the chicken's movements can be chaotic: frightened by the character, it will rush around the entire playing field. There are several easier ways to overcome the challenge. Next, we’ll look at the walkthrough of Kurogon in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Use boxes and barrels
Even before the start of the game, carefully examine the boxes and barrels, and place them on the field in advance to block the path and limit the chicken’s capabilities.
The placed obstacles will anger Krolla, and when the game starts, she will begin to return the barrels to their original places. Before the game starts, place a few boxes at the entrance to keep the goblin occupied while you chase the chicken.
Sometimes the chicken can climb over obstacles, or slip through narrow gaps that are inaccessible to the character. You can move obstacles to create a single corridor, but this cannot always be done in one minute.
Drive the Medvesych
Instead of a chicken, you can drive a baby mole cricket to the torches. For this you will need a potion "Animal conversation", or a similar skill, it is available to the following classes:
- Druid;
- Bard;
- Pathfinder;
- Palladin, subclass "Oath of the Ancients";
- Priest with the Nature Domain subclass;
- Barbarian with the Wild Heart subclass;
- Sorcerer (ability unlocked at level XNUMX)
Read more about it in a separate guide. Talking to Animals in Baldur's Gate 3.
Crolla will offer to play with Medvesych. Agree.
Once the game starts, talk to the cub using Persuasion (DC 15).
If the outcome is successful, the bear will automatically run to the exit.
Talk to the chicken
The easiest option is to talk to the chicken. It is located near the box, next to the playing field in the Goblin Camp.
In the dialogue, the chicken will ask you to help her. It is important to choose the third answer option.
After the conversation, the bird will automatically run to the gate, and Krolla will count the victory in Kurogonstvo.
Reward
When you win Kurogoning and claim your prize, Krolla will not want to give it to you and will say that only a goblin can win this game. To get gold, use one of the following options:
- Try to convince her or use the phrase "We're having fun, why ruin it now?"
- Use [Illithid] mind control to force the goblin to pay the reward.
What happens if you don’t agree to play Kurogonstvo?
In this case, you will need a potion or the “Conversation with Animals” skill. Before talking to the cub, drive Volo off the pedestal by choosing the fourth option in the dialogue "Boo! Come on, get off».
Now talk to Krolla. The important thing here is not to settle for the game. Choose the following dialogue options:
- “Let’s get closer to the point, or just talk too much.”
- “First of all, let's be clear - this is not chicken. This is a bear."
- “Why not have some fun. What is Kurogonism?
After Crolla explains the rules of the game, choose the third option: "It's cruel. I don't want to take part in such fun" Medvesych will run away from Crolla to the side. Approach him and start a dialogue. Tell "I have a camp. You will be welcome there" The bear cub will agree, but will be afraid to disobey the goblins. Return to Krolla and persuade her to give up the cub. In the dialogue, select answer options in the following order:
- “I’m leaving and taking the bear with me.”
- Then choose one of three options: [Illithid], [Persuasion], [Intimidation].
Krolla will agree for the protagonist to take the bear and the cub will run away into the portal. To get your pet to camp, take a long rest - it may take two to five rests. At this time, you can go about your daily activities, or skip days if you don’t want to wait long. When the bear comes for the first time, you can choose one of the options: “Get a piece of something edible from your backpack", or: "Call him closer».
If you want to understand what the bear is talking about, drink a potion in advance to talk with animals. The second time the cub will come with a wounded paw. Choose one of the options: “Inspect the wound”, “Try to heal the wound”, “Try to clean the wound”.
In order for the bear to stay, he needs to be cured. If successful, he will settle in the camp.

If you are a drow, you will not need to persuade or intimidate the goblin. A racial dialogue option will appear.
1) Bolo will be removed from the location with any choice in the dialogue
2) If you use the larva’s ability when you get money for winnings, then you can pick up the bear owl just like that, without checks.
3) I didn’t understand the option with chicken - there will be chicken in the camp only if you didn’t go into the cave to see the bear or went to the goblins immediately after the cave. There might be an option to play the game twice, but I haven't checked.
