Guide for the event Catching invasive species
During the Invasive Fish Event in Fontaine, there are two modes available: Cooperative and Competitive. Every two days, game server time, the point limit increases, and you can start a new stage of hunting for a reward while fishing.
During the event, you will have to catch fish using nets, which consume a certain amount of action points. The tools differ in their capture radius and have fixed chances of catching. So, to catch small, medium or large specimens, it is better to use nets of the appropriate size, which will affect the effectiveness of fishing.
Sometimes the competition pond will experience high tides, which will bring in large numbers of fish and increase the chance of encountering a unicorn fish. Catching one will earn a large number of points for both the team in co-op mode and the lucky angler in solo competition.
How to Complete Invasive Species Capture in Genshin Impact
The fishing event consists of two modes - cooperative and competition. In both modes, you need to collect fishing points to get rewards. To unlock all the rewards, you need to collect 3000 points.
- The co-op mode involves four players working together to achieve a common score. The final score in this mode is calculated based on both individual results and teamwork.
- In the competition mode, all four players compete against each other and receive only a personal score, as well as a rating, which will subsequently affect the selection of subsequent opponents. To participate in this mode, you must pay 200 action points.
Also, to receive individual rewards, it is necessary to fulfill several separate conditions for catching a certain number of different types of fish with different nets.
Catch small fish
To complete the "Catch small fish with a small net" requirement, select the very first net worth 5 action points in any mode. It is most effective at catching orizia - the smallest fish of different colors.
Catch a medium sized fish
To complete the objective "Catch a medium fish with a medium net", you must select the second net, which costs 20 points. Medium fish are larger than the small medusas, but much smaller than the large ones that appear in the challenge. They are most easily identified by their bright color, such as the green sunfish.
Catch a big fish
The challenge also has a requirement to "Catch a large fish with a large net." Choose the last and most expensive net for 60 action points. This net catches large false dragons and pufferfish.
Catch a huge fish
There is only one huge fish in the challenge - the Gemstone Unicorn Fish, which appears several times after the warning and disappearance of other fish. It can only be caught with a large net, but you will not be able to do this the first time. Spam the net on it to get a better chance of catching a rare fish and get 2500 points right away.
Catch the miracle fish
The wonder fish can be any type and is distinguished by a colored glow around it. For example, a green glow increases action points for each fish caught, a yellow glow increases action points by 5 times, and a red glow gives a random boost. Pay close attention to the size of the wonder fish to choose the right net and get a useful buff.

Why the hell did they give us 11 copies of one fish for a teapot in this event if 1 pond only holds 5?
It is completely impossible to catch a unicorn fish, I threw 12 nets at it and there was no effect
how to start. type here in competition mode where to poke, otherwise I kept poking and nothing happens
the stupidest event
Hello. Please explain to me how to choose nets by size? I always have a small one and therefore I can not catch a big fish and get a lot of points. I have read the rules several times. What am I doing wrong?
Hello! The nets are switched by pressing the number buttons if you play on PC. For example, medium and large net - keys 2 and 3. If they do not switch, then there are not enough points, continue to catch small fish with small nets.
Thank you very much
If each player had their own random swamp, then there would be something like a competitive co-op, but as it is, it’s just stupid clicking.
Gashnya is literally the ugly girlfriend of the queen of the school of wow - the latter did a f***ing ... okay, sorry, a very cool event with fishing for more than a month without lousy coop (although they pulled off one coop with a pvp element, for which they immediately got it, and rightfully so), with cool rewards, etc., and Gashnya is like this - I'll just write it off, okay? (and it would be better if she wrote it off, damn) - and so we got something like Stardew Valley, only with the same hated coop
the queen of the school wuwa, the one who begs under genshin, hsrom and even zzz?)
it doesn't matter how beautiful the picture will be in the game, and what a cool and thoughtful event they will release, if the game is fundamentally worthless
Fishing existed in Genshin before this event. In WW it was added as an event, but it will continue to be an activity. The fact that they added a fishing event in Genshin, yes, looks like a write-off, but this is only speculation. And regarding fishing itself, yes, it turned out much better than in Genshin, it would be nice if they continued to develop this theme.
the event is good, but it won't fix the cringe-worthy plot where the main character has some kind of "chemistry" with every cross he meets
Oh...cool, co-op, skip
The biggest disappointment is that catching fish from this event does not count towards the "jackpot" achievement for 2k successful fishing. And I was so hoping that I would get my 300 fish for the achievement((
The developers have completely lost their minds, how long can they make events with mandatory co-op? Skip.
Are you afraid of people? The co-op has no influence on anything there, it's extremely impossible to shit yourself
I can understand. In the last event with the "souls" being driven into the gate, this was common: everything you pushed towards the gate could be intercepted at the last second and have all your points taken away. Personally, I cursed a lot during that event.
But in this event the influence of co-op is really minimal, even if they don’t give a single giant fish, 1000 points are guaranteed to be made in 2 attempts.
Well, honestly, I don't understand the constant complaints about co-op. What difference does it make to you if in co-op the majority is only looking out for themselves? As if an event with NPCs would look any different. Do you really need to set up teamwork? Take your points/primogems and don't bother.
The complaint about earlier events is that some people complete them in 2 visits, while others have to go through 3-4 activities. for a day because others are cheating them for points, while the events themselves are mostly uninteresting crap.
Hide and seek is a separate game - some people aren't interested in it and just need to pick up their gems, while others sit in it for hours and upskill quite a bit. And the former have to painfully fight their way through the latter, especially when the former are appointed hunters.
I would say the opposite, that the current event is a bit short, you really need to play 6 times with your left heel to get 3000. Well, you can still poke a couple of times to the expert rank and that's it. And the event is designed for almost 8 days...
By the way, if you knock out an expert, there is really nothing to do in the event - it takes too much time to select a team. Purely from my personal experience.
in tennis, even recently, it was much easier in solo than in a random pair, but here it really doesn't affect anything
I just don't understand how to find NPCs with gameplay.
