While fans eagerly await the release Season 5 of Stranger Things, Netflix announces animated series for this universe.
This became known from Variety, which reported on the development of a spin-off for the streaming service. The studio is working on the project Flying Bark Productions and animator Eric Robles, who previously created Glitch Technicians and Fanboy and Chum Chum for Nickelodeon. The authors of the original story are also involved in production - Matt and Ross Duffer with Sean Levy became executive producers of the series.
In an interview, the brothers said they want to try a new format for their favorite story and are planning it. "in the spirit of Saturday morning cartoons"that they watched as children. The style promises to be similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Masters of the Universe and other similar shows from the 1980s, and that's about all that's known about the animated series so far.
The release date of the finished product is to be expected no earlier than 2024-25, since its development has just begun, but has not yet been released on the screens final season of Stranger Things. It is highly likely that an animated series about teenagers and a parallel world will be released only after the finale of the main story.
