The first plans for what Blizzard will actually be showing during the event have been revealed.
As previously announced, Day One will give us some food for thought about the studio's PC games, including highly anticipated titles in the Diablo and Overwatch lineups. But, apparently, Overwatch 2 will remain out of work.
Blizzcon 2021 date
The opening ceremony will begin on February 19 at 14:00 pm PST / 17:00 pm EST / 22:00 pm GMT and will last one hour and ten minutes.
Featured Games
Immediately after opening, BlizzCon will split into six separate streams - the main stream with Highlights and Replays, as well as five other World of Warcraft streams. Hearthstone, Diablo, Overwatch and some "strategy". We are talking about StarCraft, for some reason the game does not even have its own name, although a long exhibition is planned for it.
World of Warcraft
WoW has planned "What's Next" and "Deep Dive" booths that will showcase highlights of content and more details on what's in store for players. The What's Next is at the top of the schedule, and since it's still too early for WoW's new expansion to be revealed, it's possible that the hope of opening the Burning Crusade for WoW Classic is still alive.
Diablo IV
On Day 4, Diablo will also receive What's Next, Deep Dive, and Dev Roundtable s, the largest selection of development streams on the schedule to date. Expect a lot of information about Diablo 4 (fingers crossed for a Diablo XNUMX release date).
Overwatch 2
Curiously, Overwatch 2 has no "What's Next" and "Deep Dive" stands planned. Instead, we prepared the "Behind the scenes of Overwatch 2" . Blizzard has previously hinted that the release date for Overwatch 2 is still a long way off, and it looks like while we're sure to get some info at BlizzCon, it's more of a 'btw' and the focus will be on other games.
Hearthstone
So far, there is little information for the Bliz card masterpiece. It is known for certain that a global rotation of Standard Mode is expected this year. The new meta will change dramatically, so fans of the game will have to rethink their decks. But this was already expected, so now we are waiting for the official announcement of the new add-on.
Second day
The following day, all other featured games - WoW, Hearthstone, and Diablo - will have Q&A sessions with the developers, but not with Overwatch. Either way, the long-awaited event should shed light on the future of many fan-anticipated projects.
