Relics in artifacts, with primary and secondary stats.
From the guide you will learn about the methods of obtaining and upgrading artifacts in XSR. Additionally, we will consider all the sets of relics that are available in the game: both sets of planar jewelry and sets of cave relics.
What are relics: types, kinds and characteristics
A relic is a piece of equipment that:
- Strengthens heroes, providing them with additional stat bonuses to their main combat stats.
- Grants the character special properties when wearing 2 and 4 pieces from the same set.
Types
There are two types of artifacts in the game - cave relics and planar jewelry:
- Cave relics (main) can be placed in the head, arms, body and legs slots. Additionally, they offer the effect of 2 and 4 parts in one set.
- Planar decorations (optional) - accessories that fit into the "Planar Sphere" and "Connecting Rope" slots.
Each set provides the owner with universal buffs and effects, some have unique main stats that may not be found in other sets.
For example, only planar sphere Provides elemental damage bonuses.
Types and main characteristics
In Honkai: Star Rail, relics have one main and before four auxiliary characteristics (sub-stats).
Cave relics are distributed into four types with the following main stats:
Type | Main characteristic |
---|---|
Health (permanent) | |
Attack Power (constant) | |
|
|
|
Planar decorations are divided into two types and have the following main characteristics:
Type | Main characteristic |
---|---|
|
|
|
additional characteristics
Secondary stats are additional bonuses displayed under the main stat. When upgrading a relic, a random sub-stat appears or increases. Depending on the artifact's level, there can be from one to four of them, but they cannot repeat the main stat.
For example, if the Body relic drops attack power %, it will not appear in the additional stats.
In total there are 12 auxiliary characteristics, including percentage and flat values:
- Attack Power (% and Flat)
- HP (% and flat)
- Protection (% and flat)
- Critical Damage %
- Critical Hit Chance %
- Speed (flat)
- Effect Hit Chance %
- Effect Resistance %
- Breakthrough effect %
How to open relics
The relic system is unlocked by completing the Yarilo-VI storyline, as part of the quest “How many have fallen into this abyss”. Complete the Investigate the Mine Disturbances stage and talk to Natasha to unlock the ability to craft artifacts for characters.

How to upgrade relics
Relics can be improved by consuming other lower-level artifacts or by using special materials:
- lost essence (2 experience points);
- the lost crystal (1 experience points);
- lost gold particles (500 experience points);
- lost dust of light (100 experience points).
These resources are obtained as part of completing various content, including: temporary and permanent events. Another way is to dismantle artifacts in the "Inventory" menu and then obtain relic fragments.
Exist level up limit depending on the rarity of the item. Once the maximum amplification limit is reached, further pumping becomes impossible.
Relic Rarity | Level limit |
2⭐ | Max level - 6 |
3⭐ | Max level - 9 |
4⭐ | Max level - 12 |
5⭐ | Max level - 15 |
How to get relics in Honkai: Star Rail
There are many options for where to get relics in XSR: artifacts are obtained both in regular dungeons and for completing game activities or by crafting (synthesis system). Let's consider all possible options in more detail.
Cave of Corrosion
The main source of artifact mining is Corrosion Cave, which is located in the tab "survival index" Thanks to the considered type of dungeon, you can get basic relics for equipping your head, arms, body and legs.
Level 24 Mastering when completing the quest "Under the scorching dawn sun". The cost of one visit to obtain relics is 40 mastery energy.
virtual universe
Planar ornaments are inside "virtual universe", located on the Hertha space station:
The cost of receiving awards is also 40 units of energy or 1 dive key.
1 booster is equivalent to 40 mastering energy and is obtained inside the "Virtual Universe" through conversion.
Removing jewelry
Extracting jewelry is an additional functionality associated with the "Virtual Universe" that becomes available upon opening "The Divergent Universe: Comedies of Life". Use the energy of exploration or the keys of immersion to accelerate through the levels of the "virtual machine" under the bonuses from the "save file" and, fighting only one boss, receive a reward in the form of parts of the selected planar decorations.
briefing
Relics can be obtained in the section "Briefing" guide. Completing some of the quests in this guide will reward you with full sets of four pieces.
Souvenir shops
In every world or region there are souvenir shops, where local currency can be exchanged for items and receive additional rewards. Each such store has 1 full set of relics of four parts.
Chests
Chests located in various locations also contain relics of varying rarity. All treasures are marked on the map with an exact description of the quantity in a particular area, so finding them is quite easy. Some of them will most often be used for leveling, but at the start this is one of the easiest ways to farm artifacts.
In a separate guide showed location of all chests in hsr.
Exploration Missions (story missions)
Some relics are given as a reward for completing main storyline - This is also a great way to farm for beginners.
Rewards for increasing your Mastery level
In addition, at the location "General Carriage" artifacts are handed out Pom Pom, conductor of the Astral Express, for obtaining certain Mastering levels.
How to Use Relic Fragments [Artifact Synthesis]
After reaching 40 self-modeling resin You can choose the desired main stat (this does not apply to secondary characteristics).
We hope our article helped you learn more about relics in Honkai: Star Rail. Ask in comments questions regarding artifacts - the author or players will try to help.
Is there any point in saving unnecessary 5* relics for the future? In Genshin, for example, they can be recycled into reliquaries for new artifacts, but in XSR, as I understand it, there is no such feature? Only drain them to upgrade other relics and disassemble?
In general, there is no point, you disassemble it for books or to upgrade other relics, you can of course leave it, you never know what to put on another character.
And yet. I tried to pump a seemingly good relic, as usual, I got crazy stats, and I want to throw it away, since it is impossible to disassemble it after the pumping has started. I put the mark "For throwing away" and .... How can I throw it out of the inventory now? Who should implement this "For throwing away"? I have not found such an option anywhere in the menus or the utility.
Either no one knows, or no one comes here anymore.
Relics can also be used to upgrade other relics.
In short, I have this question. I gave my character a full set, raised the cone to level 5 overlay and fully pumped up the traces, but the chance of Crit and damage did not increase. And when I go to other guys to look at their builds, they have everything the same as mine, but the crit and damage characteristics are higher. How to understand this?
Everything depends on the relics, change the relics and their stats. Even if the relics are the same, their stats will be different. You can pump up speed, you can crit. damage, etc.
In the synthesis of relics, you can adjust the stats that you need, I pumped up the speed of all the Persians there with the help of boots and a speed stat.
Everyone is writing guides, making videos about what relics to install, how to select them, where to farm, and I haven’t seen a single guide about which legendary relics can be safely disassembled and which ones to keep, and this is very relevant now. There are only 1500 places, when it ends, I, with a creaking heart, lay down to drain a hundred and after a couple of weeks everything repeats itself))
Does the Crit buff from the Broken Keel set stack in a team if on several characters?
what are the maximum characteristics?
Where can I get a rope for speed?
Nowhere. For speed, the main stat is only legs. You can only catch in a rope with a sub-stat
The game is super!
What to do with upgraded relics that are not needed?
Smash
when trying to disassemble relics, the upgraded ones are not shown for some reason
Do you understand how to remove artifacts?
And how many credits do you need to upgrade one relic by +15?
Not much, with credits there is no gap in HR up to rank 60+ (I have rank 59)
From what level of development will 5 stars of relics be guaranteed to drop?
3 or 4
Is it worth it to put a set of new arts with an increase in speed on yuikun, because she always needs to be active so that there would be a buff on cr?
It is worth
The question is what is better to put on the ground? 1 build. On the green there is a full set of wheat and there is an increase in quantum damage from the Celestial Differentiator chain, but the crits do not correspond to the ratio of 1/2 those
36/150. 2 Assembly 2 + 2 two sets of quantum damage and two of wheat, while the ATK almost does not change, but the Crit damage drops quite strongly 68/105 chain is the same, which is better? The question is whether to change the chain with a bonus to Crit damage per Crit chance or wait for a new set of chains and then play with the second assembly 2/68?
Although I’m 8 months late, I would put 4pcs of genius diamond stars and planars…. Whatever they are called, in general for a skill and base buff. attacks. The cloak would have a chance for crit, because... 70% crit chance is quite difficult in extra. stats to type (but not impossible). In general, as for me, without a 90%+ crit chance, a Persian never crits)
Can you please tell me how exactly the relic bonuses work? The question is. My general is wearing salsotto planarks, it says that if the ksh is higher than or equal to 50, then an increase is given to the damage of superpowers and bonus attacks, but if the general has, say, 40 ksh, a trace is triggered in battle, which increases ksh by 10% and becomes the same 50 required to get a damage bonus, will the set effect work in battle?
Yes, if during the battle you get the necessary buffs and the KS reaches the required value, all bonuses are activated)
Thank you so much, I already broke my head)
Does the chance of "DROP" four, not three, but four sub-state relic/planar ukr (5 star relic/planar urk) increase with the difficulty level of the corrosion cave/virtual universe? Or whatever they are called..
As far as we know, the level of the cave or the universe does not affect this. Only for the very rarity. Dropping four stats always happens randomly.
The Genius of the Diamond Stars I think it will be great for a silver wolf
Perfect for Zele in mono-quantum with Silver Wolf)
hello, someone tell me where the knight’s art is, I wanted to put it on a cheetah, but I can’t find a dungeon with them anywhere. I'm at rank 26.
It will open when you get to Lofu Sanzhou (The next planet, so to speak)
thanks a lot
It is very strange that there is no chanterelle in the recommendations for the wheat set, these set bonuses are purely for it: the skill depends on the attack power, we use the skill once every 3 turns, which means we use the basic attack often, + speed because it should be the first to resemble. and electro does not suit her well, just better than nothing.
Thanks for the comment! You are right, we will add it to the recommendations for the set.
Why do you need speed at all? :_)
Just a couple of minutes ago they published an article about speed 🙂
https://wotpack.free4k.net/skorost-v-honkai-star-rail-kak-rabotaet-porjadok-dejstvij/
Everything is detailed there.
please tell me, is “Speed” a substitute for the relic or does it come as a separate one? I just have never come across it, only as a substitute in other relics.
Only Legs have speed as a main stat. And so, as a sub-stat, it can fall out anywhere
And from what rank do legendary artifacts become available?
why did I go through this story but they did not appear ..
did not appear in the character menu either? what is your rank?
Such a question is how to open a kprozia cave or at what rank or where to get the quest
Probably by the end of the story on Yarilo 6. We will add information to the guide as soon as we know for sure.
At what rank can you get them?
Hello. Rank does not affect this. Relics are opened as part of the quest “How many of them fell into this abyss” - this is the plot task of Yarilo VI. They indicated this in the article in the "How to get" section.
Thank you! The article seems super for me, a person who did not the beta test and looked at the reviews from those who went through the beta a little 🙂
