What are the strange cubes for?
Strange cubes are a mission item, given in the amount of one piece for repairing the Walkers of the Dream World, found on the territory of the locations of the planet of festivities. All copies are sent to the inventory section "Missions", where you can track their available quantity. You cannot use the cubes, but from the description you can find out that the strange cubes need to be given to the H to the manager of the Walkers of the Dream World.
How to find all the strange cubes
For solving each of the 15 Dreamwalker puzzles, you will be given one copy of the strange cubes. Thus, just by exploring the locations of Penaconia you will be able to find and collect 15 strange cubes.

Who should I give the strange cube to in Honkai: Star Rail?
Strange cubes can be given to two NPC Walkers:
- To the caretaker Khodikov, who lives on the territory of the hotel “Dreams” (World of Dreams);
- To the Chief Hodik, who lives on the territory of the Radiant Spar ship.
Overseer Khodikov
In order to open the opportunity to transfer the found cubes, you must find at least 5 items yourself and wait for a message from a stranger. By answering strange messages, you will open the adventure mission “Dreams and the Art of Repairing Clocks 1”, during which you will have to find the manager of the Walkers of the Dream World.
If the message does not arrive, then you need to complete the story quest chain "The Sound and the Fury".
The required hero is on the first floor of the location Hotel "Dreams" (World of Dreams), in a small room north of the hall with the spatial anchor “Observation Room”.
During a conversation with the Hodikov Overseer, you will learn that all the mechanisms are actually of the Iris clan, simply doing their job. Due to an error, the dice given to each employee caused damage to their suits and worsened their morale.
Selecting an option in the dialog "Bring back the strange cubes", you will be able to transfer the found items to the Overseer. In total, you have to make three exchanges of 5 cubes each. When the NPC gets all 15 Strange Dice back, he will leave a reward of luxury chest.
Chief Hodik
As soon as you complete the “Farewell Penaconia” Development mission chain, you will gain access to the location Puzzle-walkers of the named territory. After solving four area riddles, you will receive a message from a stranger who will say: “Go to the top of the ship. I'll be waiting in the secret room." Thus, you will unlock the mission “Dreams and the Art of Repairing Clocks 2”.
Following the hint, find the Wardroom teleportation point to the south. In the secret room, find the Chief Hodik, surrounded by several of lower rank.
As part of the mission, you must once again find a number of gears. As a result, you will receive a luxurious chest as a reward.
Subsequently, you can give the remaining strange cubes (21 pieces) to this NPC, for which you will also unlock access to one luxurious chest with various rewards, including star jades.
