In this guide we will tell you in detail how to start and complete the Wandering Abode task. We’ll show you where to find Xiang Jun and the “path” that grandfather wrote about.
How to start the Wandering Abode quest
Before starting the task, you must complete the quest "Sacred Mountains, Qiaoying Village". Only after this will a bamboo raft with a girl appear on the river bank near the Tea Tree Slope every day. You can meet her only at night, beginning with 19: 00 according to game time. Wait for the raft to arrive and talk to the baby to begin the task.
Walkthrough of the quest Wandering Abode in Genshin Impact
The little girl will tell you that her relative went to the Xuanlian Mountains and did not return home for three days because he might have been stolen by demons. Follow the tracks in the direction she indicated and figure out where Grandfather Xiang Jun disappeared when you reach the cave.
Find clues in the direction Xiang Jun pointed out.
After listening to Xiang Jun's request, go to the place she marked. In the indicated area, find a tent and examine the bag hanging on it. From the records it will become clear that the girl’s grandfather found a certain path, which he used to go to Mount Xuanlian.
Find the "path"
The required path is located in the gorge of the Yaode Valley. The Hilichurls set up camp near the river. Defeat them by defeating two waves of enemies to clear the path further. Behind the camp, find a pile of stones and destroy it with the help of an exploding barrel standing nearby.
Explore the cave
Enter the cave behind the stones. Go down from the ledge, but do not go further along the corridor. Necessary things with notes lie right at the foot of the cliff from which they came to the hall. Examine them and find out the further history of grandfather.
Head to Xuanlian Mountain
Go in search of the wounded herbalist to try to find him at the end of the route - at Mount Xuanlian. The cave with sacred water, which the man went after, is locked with a barrier. To remove it you will need start the mechanism with pressure plates. One of them is already activated by a carefree simulacrum, and stand on the other with any character.
There are no traces of the herbalist inside, however, you can also get the sacred water the girl talked about there. In addition, in the cave you will be able to pick up an amazing chest with the drawing “Stone Wall in the Valley: Jade River”.
Return to Qiaoying Village
Go back to Qiaoying Village, where Xiang Jun promised to wait for the hero. Talk to the village elder, Uncle Lo, to find out the address of the girl and grandfather. The man will tell the truth about who the herbalist and his granddaughter are.
Go to the herbalist's house and water the seeds of wonderful herbs
Follow Uncle Lo to the outskirts of the village to the herbalist's house to fulfill the old man's last request. Behind the building, find a small garden and water the ground with the collected water. Talk to Uncle Lo again to complete the quest.
If you return to the garden next game day, scrolling through Paimon's menu, you can see that a large bush of blue flowers has grown in the place where the water from the cave was poured. Examine the point of interest on the plant to receive a 4⭐ artifact as a reward.
