Tower defense mode in Genshin Impact will be the main event of the patch

Thanks to the efforts of insiders, the main event became known Genshin impact, prepared for players and a well-known subgenre of strategy tower defense. As part of the event, you will have to go through dungeons, place towers on the battlefield for defense or units for attack, and also complete assigned combat missions.

In total, two game modes will be available during the event: defending the castle from waves of opponents and PvE (player versus computer) duel, which involves the presence of two sides simultaneously engaged in both defense and attack. Each of the game styles has a number of rules and mechanics: from the interaction of elements with each other to the installation of towers and units on the battlefield.

If the defense of the castle consists only of placing attacking towers across the field and destroying waves of monsters trying to get to its “core,” then the duel mode promises to become more interesting. According to an insider's message FyLeaks, it involves two parties - the player and the opponent.

On each half of the playing field there will be castles and empty space for placing towers and units. Victory will go to the participant who is the first to destroy the “base” of the other. Some of the players have already expressed a desire to participate in PvP (player versus player) duels, but at the moment it is unknown whether such an opportunity will appear in the event. Many have drawn parallels that this mode in Genshin Impact is reminiscent of Dota 2 due to the general mechanics with core/throne defense (depicted in the image from Fy Leaks).

Orrrrr.. at first they tried to grab Hearthstone for themselves, the idea didn’t take off, no one gives a shit about the cards, now they decided that LoL would only save them in a wheelchair. Genshin has become so pathetic that I’m already starting to sympathize with the Genshingfags, so I don’t respect myself, continuing to hope that maybe they’ll bring me something good. z.y. those who haven’t played cards and won’t play this shit, those who like towers will go to lol or crash

I never understood such people. I ran after you for three blocks to say “I don’t like you.” Well, a classic age into pity, where without it. Continue to run through articles about genshin and write about how the game has gone downhill and how sorry you all are :)

After this, I'm not sure whether the Imaginarium Theater like New Abyss will be interesting.

ATP is super popular in Asia; even offline tourists use it, including official ones. I would even say that the Heartstone is so dead that it and the Summoning are approximately equal in popularity, hahaha

After all, Fischl will be in this event. Otherwise, I thought that she would be with Mona and Venti in the main event 4.8, dedicated to the return of Mirage to the Velurii.

If we introduce a PvP mode, it will be a fair one, where both sides will have absolutely identical resources in the form of characters, their const (or lack thereof), as well as art, where even flat values are identical to the enemy.
This will be a competition where everything is decided by hands and luck, and not by donation advantage, as in the infamous fan tournament (in which most players turned out to be unviable to win back fours or craft weapons).

Character-based PvP is an absolutely stupid idea. I already confirm that the implication will be geo and characters who can fly into the sky. Plus, no one monitors the balance after the characters are released. Which is why it makes no sense to take your favorites if in the end you just take the one who is stronger and more convenient with mechanics. If both Persians are taken at random, then not everyone knows all the characters. And let's be honest, what's the competition? who is faster at pointing the mouse and E?)

Who said about the Persians that the players ALREADY HAVE?
I'm talking about an analogue of the event that took place a few months ago, where players were given trial characters for whom nothing could be changed.
And although the implementation of such entertainment was, as always, through one place, the event was still original to some extent.

PS: I can ask a counter question, what is the competition in kicking an unfortunate ball when you are not even a player, but an ordinary spectator?
And yes, such an event will be just for the old guys who have done everything, and let the newbies clean the map and not complain about the lack of gems with the conditional Fontaine closed by 20%.

Where did I say about the characters that players already have? And they don’t answer a question with a question. But I will answer. If it's a spectator, then how could the word competition come up? It's almost like watching anime. In the word competition, I mean: the speed of reaction, thinking about what movement your opponent will make, and the very feeling that I have defeated a very powerful opponent.

Reaction speed is needed, in the same abyss, thanks to this skill, you can avoid many things - from falling into the traps of mirror maidens to simply pressing buttons at the right time, so as not to waste your ult in milk or on an enemy who has 5% HP left.

Yes, this is not Sekiro, not Souls and other games with a lot of buttons, but going through the content “rolling your face on the keyboard”, if we are not talking about an open world, will no longer work, no matter how opponents try to downplay the need for some skills.

I Googled for 10 minutes before I found it - it’s a pity that the developers didn’t leave at least a table of contents for the past content.

The event was called “Victory Rush”, it gave only trial Persians, which is why many were dissatisfied, so at the same Master only those who tried strategy ed it (although it was not for nothing that I mentioned the curvature of execution, since the maximum number points could only be scored by focusing on synergy and forming squads of 4 damage dealers, for example).

I looked at the event, and I still didn’t understand how it could fit into the pvp analogue. Except that the characters will probably not be on the full list, and will be the same for everyone. But here I repeat. Relying on those who know how they work. If we do this for the old people who did everything. It’s cool, of course, but what kind of online do you expect. Plus, the limited roster of characters gets boring quickly. I affirm and will continue to assert that the characters’ skills and const are not suitable for pvp. They didn't think about it from the very beginning. Example: we have the Wanderer (Scaramucha)

I will answer 2 messages at once:

1) I didn’t say that Victory Rush is what I see as a PvP component, I just mean the concept where + - everyone will be equal, and not a person with Syanka c0 against the conditional Harlequin c6.

2) I also make CD cards for BP, and also invite new Persians - I can’t say that I like this time killer, rather, just when I have nothing to occupy myself for a short time, but without rewards, a CCG is needed by an extremely small number of people, according to at least, among all those whom I personally had the opportunity to interview, I will not speak for everyone, of course.

By the way, let me remind you that the game has a CCG and it is very good in of pvp. At some point, I completely gave up on exploring the map and only played it. There is character selection, different gameplay and different mechanics. I sincerely believe that mihoyo pvp will definitely not go further than this.

The problem here is rather not in the type of pvp itself, but in the Internet connection and players’ devices. A lot of people play on not the most powerful smartphones with somehow working Wi-Fi. Those who play on PC, especially with good specifications, and on consoles will always have an advantage

I agree here, but I just have a hard time believing that players on mobile phones, which already have lags/crashes, etc. will want to go make such content if they even avoid the Abyss.
In any case, the game needs at least a nominal expansion of activities; it’s clear that newcomers have something to do, but old-timers are already a little tired of the entertainment of three, even almost four years ago :/

Just look at the players' stands. If the potential 1800 gems per patch does not encourage you to develop your characters and take part in such activities, let alone talk about possible pvp. And is pvp in any form necessary at all in a game where most people just collect beautiful characters.
They will add the theater of the absurd in the new patch. Looks more like a sop to make players whine less
