How to start the Nevilleth Legends quest Flood: Wounds of the Past in Genshin Impact
You can open the Nevilett legends quest “Flood: Wounds of the Past” in the corresponding tab of the quest log. Several requirements must also be met:
- To reach 40 adventure ranks and higher;
- Complete the task of the Archons volume IV, chapter IV "Cataclysm's Quickening";
- Have 1 Legend Key to unlock access to the quest.
To get the key, in total you will have to go through 8 daily assignments, You can deal with them in 2 real days, if you don’t skip quests. When you complete the tests, pick up the item in the tab "Legend Quest" in the general journal. The in the upper right corner shows how many keys are in stock.
A familiar threat
The traveler, along with Paimon, meets with Nevillet at Mermonia Palace. The judge decided to take up the investigation of one case - Melusine Kiara received a threatening letter. Protect Kiara while Nevillet is busy searching for the necessary documents. Accidentally collide with Charlotte, who dreams of interviewing the judge, and return to the palace to discuss some leads.
Travel to Mermonia Palace
The quest begins with Paimon inviting her to visit Nevillet. Teleport to Cour de Fontaine and enter Mermonia Palace. Walk straight down the corridor and then turn right into the Chief Justice's office.
Friends find Nevillet talking with a Melusine named Sedena. She tries to dissuade the judge from taking up the case on her own regarding Melusine Kiara, who received a threatening letter.
After a short dialogue, Seden manages to convince him. Nevillet tells the Traveler that he feels responsible to the Melusines, because once upon a time he was unable to protect some of them. The Traveler and Paimon decide to help him with this matter.
Ask Kiara about the threatening letter
First you need to find out from the victim what happened. Travel to the southernmost teleport in the capital and from there move east to the quest marker. Melusine is standing near one of the benches. Approach her to talk.
Kiara will report that the letter fell out when she left the house. Melusina herself did not take what was written as a threat - Sedena advised her to turn to Nevillet.
Nevillet will invite Kiara to go with him to the Mermonia Palace, but Melusine still has business - she must look at Elof's store.
Protect Kiara while she works
The High Judge does not want to let Melusine go alone, but the Traveler and Paimon offer in time to go with her and protect her in case of danger.
Follow Kiara
Follow Kiara. Melusine will head north towards the Lyonnaise district.
Kiara will lead her friends to the Tiori House store, near which a girl named Elof is standing. Talk to her and wait for Melusine to finish exploring the store. She will do this quite quickly, since representatives of her species can immediately notice what is inaccessible to the human eye.
Find a suspicious person
During the salesman's conversation with Kiara, the Traveler notices that someone is following them. Worried that it might be the one who sent the threatening letter, the friends decide to check. Go a little further north. The suspicious person will be Charlotte, hiding behind a stone flower stand.

Meet Kiara

Return to Mermonia Palace

Enter the theater to watch another scene of Vautrin's trial. Nevillet regretted what happened, but could not go against the verdict.
Once the verdict is ed, the Traveler is teleported back to the real world. Nevillet will apologize for what happened and tell you that the memories manifested themselves because of the Lucin fountain. This past incident is the reason why the judge took on Kiara's case.
Suddenly, during the conversation, Navya appears, who is already familiar with the problem and wants to help. Nevillet also mentions that Kiara's case is somehow connected to the smuggling case, but there is not enough information yet.
Return to Mermonia Palace
Nevillet decides it is time to return to Mermonia's palace. Teleport to it and go inside.
Look for suspicious documents
Go to Nevillet's office and select "Smuggling Case" from the documents on the table.
The judge will read that this case was connected with several people who are now in the Meropid fortress. One of the criminals, Esseim, seemed suspicious to Nevillet, since they stopped following him, and he himself is at large.
At this moment, Melusine will enter the office and report that Navia is waiting for them in the cafe - she has discovered the suspect. Friends decide to go to her.
Meet Naviya
Head to the cafe, which is located a little south of the Mermonia Palace, in the Vasari age. Navya sits at the farthest table. Approach her.
As you approach, you will see that at the next table there is a crowd of suspicious people, one of whom is Esseim. The man its that he sent the letter to Chiara, but did so on the orders of Domenico, who is in the Meropides fortress.
In a new light
Visit the fortress of Meropides, which is at the disposal of Wriothesley, and ask the Duke about the suspect. He will gladly receive guests and offer to relax in the infirmary. Solve the threat case and return to Cour de Fontaine to reassure Kiara that she is now safe.
Travel to Meropid Fortress
Nevillet decides that it is necessary to visit the Meropides fortress and look for Domenico there. Move to the desired point and talk to Risley, who is standing near his office.
The man will tell you that there really is such a person in the fortress and that he previously tried to cause unrest. Risley agrees to help Nevillet and asks him to wait a little.
Relax in the infirmary
Sijwin invites Nevillet and the Traveler to relax in the infirmary and offers them tea. While taking a break, the judge mentions that he noticed unusual badges on the people standing at the entrance to the hallway. The objects seem familiar to him, so he needs to find out more about them.
Find out more about the mysterious organization
Exit the infirmary and turn right. Not far from the entrance there are three people with whom you need to talk: Goldet, Miller and Avriol. Talk to each of them to learn more about the badges.
Each of these people belongs to the Mutual Aid Group, a mysterious organization that has existed in the Meropid fortress for about four hundred years. The badges worn by of the group are modeled after the Peace Medals worn by the organization's first leader.
Report the results to Nevillet
Return back to the infirmary and talk to Nevillet. The Chief Justice will say that he knows about the existence of such medals, because he himself created them and gave them to Carol and Vautrin. The latter was the founder of the Mutual Help Group.
The conversation will be interrupted by Sijwin, who will report that Risley has found Domenico.
Go to Risley's office
Go to Risley's office, located in the istrative District of the Meropid Fortress. Go inside and go up to the second floor.
Risley actually brought Domenico, who was afraid of Nevillet's appearance. The man said that he was in prison because of smuggling, but did not it his guilt. The initial target of his revenge was Nevillet, but he did not find any allies, which is why he was forced to switch to Melusine, and Kiara became the first one he ed.
